You have questions?
We have answers.

If you don't see what you're looking for, don't hesitate to reach out to us!

  • What is the vibe of the wedding?
"Boho Chic" as Meg likes to call it. Earthy, natural, and full of love. Probably unlike most weddings you've been to before. We chose a venue that is unique in that we have the venue rented for the weekend. We know that everyone is traveling in to celebrate with us so we wanted to be able to spend time with all of our loved ones in a laid back, natural setting.
  • Are children invited to the wedding?
Although we love your kiddos, we are hosting a micro wedding with a limited number of guests. Due to this, the only children that will be invited are those directly involved as members of the wedding party.
  • We're having a gender-neutral wedding; what does that mean?
Lex is nonbinary which means their gender does not fall within the stereotypical expression of man or woman and uses they/them/theirs pronouns. We ask that you respect their pronouns and terminology throughout the weekend so that Lex can have a top notch experience. With this in mind, we would like for you to use gender neutral terminology when referring to Meg and Lex as a couple. Basically, throw away the word "brides" or "ladies" for the weekend! • Sesame Allergy Warning
Our baby niece, Rowan, has a severe sesame allergy. Please be mindful of what snacks you bring on-site as we would like to avoid exposure to sesame as much as possible.
  • Are dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, no. Please leave your four-legged friends at home. Pro tip: we've had a lot of luck with overnight dog-sitting through Rover.
  • Are there places to eat or explore nearby?
Yes! The following areas are located within driving distance of the Farm! Downtown Hot Springs - 10 Minutes from Paint Rock Farm Marshall, NC - 35 Minutes from Paint Rock Farm Asheville, NC - 60 Minutes from Paint Rock Farm Knoxville, TN - 1hr 20 mins from Paint Rock Farm
  • Will I have cell service at Paint Rock?
Be prepared to unplug for the weekend. All glamping units are open air, off-grid (no power, water, internet) and offer the perfect space to relax and rejuvenate. The luxury bathhouse with indoor and outdoor showers, and communal spaces including kitchen, fire pit, and barn with Wi-Fi are available and open 24/7 throughout your stay.
  • Will there be transportation provided?
We recommend renting a car to get around leading up to the wedding. For those staying off-site, we will have van transportation that will bring you back to your off site lodging locations after the reception (only the places listed on the off-site lodging page are included). For additional travel services over the weekend, you can contact Jason at (321) 693-6455.
  • What are the cabins like?
These cabins feature a comfortable queen sized bed in a screened-in space, and private deck overlooking an undeveloped section of the French Broad River and mountain vistas. All glamping units are open air, off-grid (no power, water, internet) and offer the perfect space to relax and rejuvenate. Paint Rock supplies blankets to keep you warm. The cabins are supplied with linens, towels, lamps, lanterns, and a key. Quiet hours are 10:00PM-8:00AM.
  • What's the best way to get to Paint Rock Farm?
For our Charleston friends: Paint Rock Farm, located in Hot Springs, NC, is roughly a 4.5-5 hour drive from Charleston. For our out-of-state friends: We recommend flying into Asheville Regional Airport. You can then either rent a car and drive the remaining 45 minutes to Hot Springs, or if you let us know ahead of time, we can arrange to have you picked up. Ubers will be limited in these areas.
  • What is the attire for the ceremony & reception?
Semi-formal attire, fall colors and textures are highly recommended. We hope you have fun with your outfits, get funky, formal and embody the nature vibes! Need some outfit inspiration? Check out this link! Note: Please pick something that is appropriate for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. It may get chilly in the evening (but that's what the fire pit is for).
  • What type of shoes do I need for the venue?
We will be both outside for the ceremony and inside the barn for the reception and dancing. We recommend that you be comfortable and practical. If it helps, Lex will be wearing Blundstone boots, and Meg will be wearing Birkenstock sandals.
